We are proud to share that a new scientific study developed using the IDASONIC NanoWeaver® Pro platform has been published in the prestigious Chemical Engineering Journal.
In this work, researchers successfully developed a fully electrospray-processable electrochromic supercapacitor architecture for smart window applications by combining CBP-based anodic layers with PEDOT:PSS cathodic layers.
Using the NanoWeaver® Pro electrospray platform, the team achieved:
* Uniform nanostructured thin films
* Enhanced porosity and ion accessibility
* Up to 50% optical transmittance modulation
* Fast switching times down to 1.9 seconds
* More than 95% capacitance retention after 10,000 cycles
* Large-area (10 × 10 cm²) smart window demonstrations
The study highlights the strong potential of electrospray-based manufacturing technologies for:
* Smart windows
* Energy storage systems
* Organic electronics
* Multifunctional electrochromic devices
This publication demonstrates that the IDASONIC NanoWeaver® Pro platform is not only a powerful nanofiber production system, but also a highly capable solution for advanced electrospray-based thin film and functional coating applications.
